We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales & Marketing Manager to drive the sales of Rymax Lubricants in Rwanda and the surrounding markets. This person will also act as a Deputy General Manager, supporting the overall management of ALMC. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong commercial background in B2B sales, distribution, and marketing, particularly in the lubricants, automotive, or industrial sector. This role is open to both local and international candidates (expats) who are looking for an exciting leadership opportunity in a fast-growing market. The successful candidate will need to be “hands-on”.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales & Business Development:
- Lead and manage the sales team to maintain and grow Rymax’s market share in Rwanda and beyond.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to increase revenue and expand into neighbouring markets.
- Identify and establish relationships with key distributors, wholesalers, and large customers.
- Oversee pricing, contract negotiations, and customer service to ensure market competitiveness.
- Monitor sales performance and provide reports to senior management.
Marketing & Brand Development:
- Develop marketing strategies to enhance Rymax’s brand visibility and customer engagement.
- Plan and oversee promotional campaigns, trade shows, and industry events.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify growth opportunities.
- Ensure consistency in branding and messaging across all channels.
Leadership & Operations:
- Act as a Deputy General Manager, supporting the overall management of the factory and operations.
- Work closely with production and supply chain teams to align sales forecasts with production capacity.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the sales and marketing team.
- Ensure smooth coordination between different departments for efficient business operations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 7-10 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the lubricants, automotive, or industrial sectors preferably in East / Central Africa.
- Proven track record in B2B sales, distribution, and market expansion.
- Strong leadership and management experience, with the ability to oversee a team and act as a deputy director.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive business growth.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or Kinyarwanda is an advantage.
- Position is open to both local and international (expat) candidates.
